JOBSUMMARY
As a Senior CNC Programmer, you will create and edit CNC programs that support the machining of large-scale, complex, precision metal components fabricated on 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling & turning machining centers. This is a multi site role, supporting 3 sites in Huntington Beach/Seal Beach, Ca and 2 sites in Tijuana, MX. The ideal candidate is expected to become the subject matter expert for metals and composite machining/programming and support the ongoing development and improvement of the machining operations across the company.

- Must be proficient user of Master-Cam
- Write CNC programs, and necessary documents or modify existing programs in Master-Cam that help in the setup of the machines
- Perform machining process development & optimization (part setup/fixturing, machining strategy/order of operations, tool selection, speed/feed process parameter selection, and related cost information)
- Identify, select, and procure appropriate tooling for job specific applications (based on part material, geometry, features, tolerances, system rigidity, and equipment capability)
- Reviews three-dimensional CAD blueprints, then translate them into Master Cam
- Document all programs with instructions and in-process drawings with high degree of accuracy so operators can understand with ease, instructions on how to run the programs
- Must be detail oriented, able to work independently as a problem solver
- Work with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes and optimize cost
- Provide feedback/training to engineering group on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) best practices
- Able to create 3D models from sketches or blueprints
- Able to read G codes
- 4 Year Bachelors degree in related field strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 15-20 years of programming experience required.
- Extended or irregular hours may be required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
