OC San is currently looking to establish an eligibility list for a Principal Information Technology Analyst. The role performs highly-advanced professional-level IT support duties, including comprehensive systems design, analysis, development, and program/project leadership. The analyst serves as a business analyst, provides guidance to IT staff, and ensures operational availability, performance, and security of OC San’s technology operations.

• Analyze complex problems and identify, create, and implement solutions across enterprise systems and programs.
• Oversee and coordinate programs and projects, serving as subject‑matter expert for engineering system support.
• Conduct comprehensive business process and systems analysis to design and develop new systems, processes, and enhancements.
• Consult with users, staff, outside agencies, and vendors to resolve system, operational, and procedural issues.
• Plan, develop, and evaluate additions, changes, and enhancements to computer system software.
• Lead and support system modernization initiatives, including evaluating emerging technologies and improving legacy systems.
• Establish technical governance practices, system standards, documentation, lifecycle management, and change management processes.

Physical Demands – Mobility to work in a standard office setting, use standard office equipment, and operate a motor vehicle. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds. Vision, hearing, and speech requirements for communication.

Environmental Elements – Office environment with moderate noise, controlled temperature, and no direct exposure to hazardous substances. Interaction with staff and public may occur.

Other Requirements – Potential for extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Probationary period applies to all employees except those with at‑will classification.
