Personal Care Assistants HCA

Overview

Senior Helpers Northern Orange County is looking for an experienced caregiver with experience in Cypress, Huntington Beach, Garden Grove, Long Beach, and Seal Beach.

• Saturday and Sunday 9am - 7pm, with a female client in Seal Beach
• Tuesday 9am - 4pm with a female client in Seal Beach (mainly driving)
• Saturday 9:30am - 5:30pm and Sunday 1pm - 9pm with a female client in Cerritos
• Saturday 5:30pm - 11:00pm with a female client in Cerritos

• Experience with transferring clients between various locations (wheelchair, bed, etc.) utilizing proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
• Experience with using a Hoyer lift and gate belt assistance.
• Experience with assisting clients with personal hygiene tasks, including sponge baths, bathing, toileting, grooming, etc.
• Experience with assisting clients with incontinence care and bedridden care.
• Willing to attend training regarding Dementia and Alzheimer’s. Training in all the mentioned categories is preferred.

• Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships.
• Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies (walks, gardening, games, etc.).
• Prepare meals for your clients to enjoy.
• Assist your clients with walking, dressing, and other daily activities of living.
• Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior.

• Pay rate of $19 - $22 per hour
