Apella Wealth is growing—and our Huntington Beach office is adding experienced Certified Financial Planner® professionals to meet increasing client demand.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a well-supported, high-trust financial planning role within a national, fee-only RIA—while working closely with a collaborative local team led by seasoned CFP® practitioners and leaders in the profession.

The Role

As a Lead Financial Planner, you’ll serve as a primary advisor
, leading client relationships and delivering holistic financial planning.

Responsibilities
  • Lead client relationships with empathy, transparency, and fiduciary care
  • Build and manage comprehensive plans across:
  • Investments
  • Retirement
  • Tax
  • Insurance and risk management
  • Conduct and lead client meetings (in-person and virtual)
  • Partner with CPAs, estate attorneys, and internal teammates
  • Work closely with dedicated support planners and client services professionals for execution and service
  • Participate in business development efforts through referrals and aligned prospect conversations
  • This is a planning-first role—not commission-driven or cold-calling focused.
Who You Are
  • CFP® certificant with 4–7 years of financial planning experience
  • Confident leading client meetings and guiding complex conversations
  • Empathetic, ethical, and genuinely client-centered
  • Organized, thoughtful, and comfortable balancing multiple relationships
  • Collaborative by nature—you enjoy being part of a strong team
Requirements
  • Experience across retirement, investment, tax, estate, and insurance planning
  • Ability to work primarily in person in our Huntington Beach office
