Mortgage Underwriter​/Pre-Underwrite Files

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Underwriter / Pre-Underwrite Files to join our team in the US. This position would be pre-underwriting files, with much less pressure than a traditional underwriting position.

• Review credit documents accordance to FHA, agencies and investor’s guidelines
• Review borrower’s income and assets accordance to FHA, agencies and investor’s guidelines
• Review subject property and values accordance to FHA, agencies and investor’s guidelines
• Review all forms and disclosures making sure they are in compliance with both State and Federal
• Must be able to make loan decision independently (Approve or Decline)
• Effectively calculate all income types and different income scenarios
• Answer questions from Junior underwriters/loan analysts, loan officers, sales managers and processing
• Assign loan submissions to Jr Underwriters/Loan Analysts
• Assist in restructuring loans according to the qualifications of the borrower(s)
• Speed and Efficiency is essential

• Minimum 3+ years of recent experience as a Mortgage Underwriter
• Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of current residential lending guidelines
• Current knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to the mortgage banking industry
• Current knowledge of the mortgage origination process, policies, and procedures
• Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with agents, processors, and brokers
