Job Overview

Join the T2 team and play an integral role in assembling engineering plan sets that depict existing underground and overhead utilities and their appurtenances for our clients. Drafting of these projects will use Micro Station and Open Roads Designer.

T2 Utility Engineers specializes in providing reliable underground and above-ground utility information to reduce the risks that utilities present for infrastructure projects. T2ue helps clients manage the complexity of existing utilities with our professional and comprehensive Subsurface Utility Engineering, Utility Coordination, and Surveying services.

Our mission is to provide project stakeholders with quality utility information, professional insight, and deliverables that streamline construction, improve project safety, and set the standard for the utility engineering industry.

• Prepare computer-generated existing utility CAD models and engineering plan sets, according to established agency standards and procedures.
• Create plan sheets that have match lines that connect an entire project together.
• Work directly with Project Manager/CAD Manager.
• Have a basic understanding of survey points and data.
• Use Google Earth to locate field utility above ground features to assist in verification of record research and surveyed utility data.
• Revise utility CAD models based on Project Manager's marked up instructions.
• Understand and follow the agency’s CAD standards to create a plan set that meets their approval.
• Be well organized with outstanding work ethic, working well with a dynamic and highly efficient team.
• Maintain schedules and progress reports for self-performed work to Project Manager.

• Minimum of high school or technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting or equivalent experience (Micro Station, Open Roads Designer).
• All activities will be under the direct supervision of a Project Manager/CAD Manager utilizing Micro Station, and/or Open Roads Designer.
• 2–5 years’ experience with the listed software packages is preferred, but not necessary for an individual able to learn on the job in a progressive atmosphere.
• DOT/Agency and/or Transportation Engineering experience is a plus.
