Provides a variety of paraprofessional library services including, but not limited to technical support for automated library services, administrative support to the Librarian, partial leadership over day-to-day library operations, and advanced assistance to library patrons.
Distinguishing Career FeaturesThe Library Media Technician is the second level in a technical career ladder for library support. Advancement to this level requires compliance with the education and experience requirements and a demonstrated ability to provide a full range of customer services encompassing circulation, copy cataloging. Advancement to this level requires the ability to serve as a customer services team leader and overseeing other staff in providing service to library users.
