This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced leader or a first‑time Underground Manager to step into a high‑impact role and shape the future of underground mining at St Ives. Reporting to the Manager:
Mining, you will manage all facets of the underground material handling project.
- Safety & Statutory Compliance:
Ensure all activities comply with the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Act and Regulations, maintaining statutory obligations and fostering a proactive safety culture. - Project Management: oversee a twin decline development project and exploration programme for potential expansion into a new underground production zone.
- Budget & Forecasting: prepare mining schedules to produce accurate forecasts and budgets.
- Contractor Management:
Manage Contractor performance to deliver key milestones safely to standard. - Infrastructure:
Oversee the installation and commissioning of the materials handling capital infrastructure
- Capability in project and contractor management
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mining) or equivalent
- WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency
- A growth mindset, with strong communication, responsibility, and relationship‑building skills.
