This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Contentious Probate Partner to take a leading role within a Top 150 national law firm at a pivotal stage of its growth.

We are seeking a senior, commercially minded lawyer with 15+ years' PQE who is ready to build, lead and scale a contentious probate offering-someone with the vision, drive and gravitas to put their stamp on a national platform.

The Opportunity

You will join a well-established firm with an excellent reputation in dispute resolution, offering the autonomy and backing to develop a team around you, expand client relationships, and grow market presence across contentious probate and trusts disputes.

While specialist contentious probate experience is highly desirable, we are equally open to partners with a strong background in general litigation or disputes who have a demonstrable interest and track record in this area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the firm's contentious probate practice
  • Act as a trusted adviser on high-value, complex estates and inheritance disputes
  • Build and mentor a team, shaping long-term departmental strategy
  • Drive business development, referrals, and profile-raising initiatives
  • Collaborate with partners nationally across private client and litigation teams
About You
  • 15 years' PQE, operating at Partner, Senior Associate or equivalent senior level
  • Strong background in contentious probate, estates, trusts disputes or litigation
  • Ambitious, entrepreneurial and keen to grow something of your own
  • Proven ability to win work and build lasting client relationships
  • Open to relocation, or already positioned to take on a national role
