As a Fin Ops Engineer you will help to drive cost optimisation and efficiency in cloud environments. This is a hands‑on role will help organisations drive cost efficiencies in their cloud environments, by continually aligning Fin Ops capabilities to continuously optimise spend and deliver maximum value from their public cloud investment.

Key Responsibilities
:

• Examine, analyse, prioritise cloud cost optimisation recommendations and calculate potential savings and benefits using Fin Ops tools
• Implement rate and usage optimisations within public cloud environments (Azure, AWS and GCP)
• Guide our customers in making cost-effective architectural decisions
• Communicate Fin Ops principles to key stakeholders with our customers
• Collaborate with managed services teams to design and implement cost optimisations recommendations and best practices.
• Build and manage a backlog on cost-saving initiatives
• Architect and develop automation runbooks to help drive cloud cost efficiencies, along with continual development of Policy as Code initiatives, further bolstering Cloud Cost Governance

Skills / Experience

• Hands on experience implementing Fin Ops to optimise cloud costs, with deep understanding of levers available to optimise cloud costs
• Strong understanding of the Fin Ops Framework, capabilities, lifecycle and domains
• Hands on experience with native and 3rd party public cloud cost management tools such as IBM Cloudability and Kube Cost
• Service Now experience as a Cloud Management Platform
• Strong Dev Ops skills, including Terraform, Bicep, Cloud Formation, along with Red Hat Ansible
• Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and client relationships

Highly strong numerical and finance skills to investigate data and spot trends and anomalies

• Certifications such as Fin Ops Practitioner or Fin Ops Professional
