Following continued growth and with the exciting new chapter ahead under Bain Capital ownership, we are looking for a skilled and forward-thinking Compensation & Benefits Manager to join our People & Culture team. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping how we reward, engage and support our colleagues across the Group.

You will take ownership of our full payroll lifecycle and reward framework, oversee our Group benefits proposition, and lead strategic activity across compensation, benefits, job evaluation, and pay structures. You will also manage and develop our Payroll Specialist, ensuring seamless delivery and continuous improvement.

You will be based from the Huntingdon office on a hybrid working, 3 days in the office and 2 from home.

What you’ll be doing Payroll
  • Oversee the end-to-end monthly payroll for the Group, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
  • Own the monthly payroll sign-off process and support the Payroll Specialist in achieving KPIs.
  • Manage year-end payroll activity, including P11

    Ds.
  • Act as the escalation point for payroll queries and discrepancies.
  • Produce and submit payroll-related reports to relevant authorities.
  • Co-ordinate Pay Equity reporting, including Gender Pay Gap analysis.

  • Co-ordinate the annual compensation review process and provide strategic input.
  • Act as SME for job evaluation, grading frameworks, pay structures, and total reward tools.
  • Deliver end-to-end reward activities across the People & Culture function.
Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Lead all payroll- and benefits-related integration activity.
About You

You will be an experienced Rewards or Payroll & Benefits professional with a strong grounding in compensation frameworks, benefits management and payroll operations. You’ll be confident operating as a subject matter expert.

You’ll also be or have:
  • A caring approach, with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to getting things right for our colleagues.
  • Curiosity and confidence in communication, engaging openly with stakeholders and building strong, trusted relationships.
  • Skilled use of systems and data, with strong IT capability and the ability to quickly understand tools and technology.
  • Bold ownership of your work, able to prioritise, move at pace and take initiative to drive outcomes.
  • A problem‑solver’s mindset, bringing strong analytical and investigative skills to complex challenges.
  • Sound knowledge of UK payroll, statutory and legislative requirements, keeping us compliant and proactive.
  • Experience leading and delivering projects or improvements, shaping better processes and ways of working.
