Senior Medium Term Mine Planning Engineer

• 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, or live locally in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie
• One hour charter flight from Perth
• Ideal role for an experienced underground Mine Planning Engineer with mentoring and leadership exposure

Reporting to the Superintendent:
Mine Planning, you will facilitate the optimal extraction of gold ore through comprehensive underground mine planning, design, evaluation, and scheduling that drives the success of our operation.

• Ensure the business can make informed decisions by identifying, planning, and communicating extraction strategies, critical path, and high-risk areas as part of an iterative scenario planning process.
• Create, support, and manage underground short to medium term mine design, scheduling and evaluation work, including design of all aspects of an underground mine including ventilation, backfill, and other infrastructure.
• Lead and mentor the team to add further value to the Technical Services team.
• Role model our core values and create a culture where every team member feels seen, supported, and valued.

• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering,
• First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency is desirable.
• High level of skills displayed in Deswik CAD, Deswik SO and Deswik IS.
• Extensive underground mining experience in production, ventilation, projects, paste fill, planning and scheduling
