The Curvex Splice Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by ensuring the precise and efficient splicing of materials using Curvex technology. This position is responsible for maintaining high-quality standards while operating specialized machinery to join materials seamlessly, which directly impacts product integrity and production flow. The operator will work closely with production teams to meet daily output targets and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the splicing process.
Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to minimize downtime and maintain a safe working environment. Ultimately, the Curvex Splice Operator contributes to the overall success of the manufacturing operation by delivering consistent, high-quality splices that meet or exceed company standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating industrial machinery, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Ability to read and interpret production instructions and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Experience specifically with Curvex splicing equipment or similar splicing technologies.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking.
- Certification in industrial safety or equipment operation.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including overtime as needed.
- Operate Curvex splicing machinery to join materials accurately and efficiently according to production specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and minimize waste.
- Inspect spliced materials for defects and ensure compliance with quality control standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal operation and longevity.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and quality assurance teams to address any issues and improve processes.
- Maintain detailed records of production output, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and company policies to promote a safe working environment.
The Curvex Splice Operator utilizes mechanical skills daily to set up, operate, and adjust splicing machinery, ensuring materials are joined with precision. Attention to detail is critical when inspecting splices to detect any defects that could affect product quality.
