This position reports to the Senior Manager, Procurement Finance and will partner with the Brand Cost, Supply Chain, Sourcing, and FP&A teams as the financial steward of material cost performance to drive visibility, accuracy, and forward‑looking insights. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in shaping cost strategy for some of our most high‑profile direct materials. The role focuses on analytics, operations, and strategic decision‑making, with a project‑based focus and support for various finance team needs.
The work completed will influence management decision making by providing timely and accurate financial information. The applicant should be comfortable working in a fast‑paced, flexible environment and be able to work across teams effectively.
- Lead the analysis, reporting, and interpretation of material price variances (MPV).
- Develop and maintain robust variance models to identify cost drivers, trends, and risks.
- Collaborate with Sourcing teams to understand current supplier pricing, cost structures, and market dynamics.
- Provide clear, actionable insights to Procurement and Finance leadership to support cost‑management initiatives and communicate financial implications of cost changes to senior leadership with clarity and confidence.
- Support supplier negotiations with financial analysis, scenario modeling, and cost‑benefit assessments to ensure productivity savings are validated and tracked.
- Enhance financial tools, Power BI dashboards, and reporting frameworks to improve visibility and decision‑making.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent.
- 4+ years in financial planning, analysis, and/or modeling.
- Significant experience with SAP and Hyperion is strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and Power BI tools: ability to navigate, modify, and develop models is essential.
- Experience with raw commodities subject to market inflation is a plus.
- Detail‑oriented and able to perform in a high‑pressure environment.
- Experience in Finance and Accounting roles; may include FP&A, Decision Support, and/or P&L accountability for key operations, functions, or business units within a company.
