Electrical Project Engineer II (Industrial/Manufacturing)
We’re seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to support the planning, execution, and commissioning of industrial and manufacturing modernization projects. This role is hands-on and field-driven, working closely with plant teams, contractors, and engineering partners to deliver safe, reliable electrical systems across complex manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities- Support construction, installation, startup, and commissioning of major manufacturing equipment
- Design, review, and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and power requirements
- Work with low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical distribution systems
- Coordinate power distribution and equipment integration during plant build and expansion projects
- Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues during installation and startup
- Support PLC-based control systems (ladder logic), with exposure to Siemens and Rockwell platforms
- Promote safety standards and best practices on all job sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and contractors
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of engineering experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Hands-on experience with industrial power distribution systems
- Strong ability to read and create 2D AutoCAD Electrical drawings
- Experience supporting equipment installation, startup, and commissioning
- Working knowledge of PLC systems and ladder logic
- Proven troubleshooting skills in field-based environments
- Siemens power distribution and/or PLC experience
- QED Power or similar industrial power systems exposure
- SCADA and electrical control systems experience
- Relay protection and power system design exposure
- Cost estimating and project support experience
- Background in wire & cable or heavy manufacturing
- Fast-paced environment where adaptability and problem-solving are key
- Ideal for engineers who enjoy variety, hands-on work, and learning on the fly
