South Lake Christian Academy exists for the sake of God’s glory and mission; proclaiming the gospel, educating and discipling the whole person in all aspects of God’s reality.
South Lake Christian Academy (SLCA) is a thriving Christian school near Charlotte, founded in 1994 as a ministry of South Lake Presbyterian (PCA) Church. The school serves junior kindergarten through 12th grade with a rigorous academic program, athletics, and the arts, while maintaining a smaller-school atmosphere where individual students are known by name.
The vision of SLCA is that Christ may be preeminent in all things. The school seeks to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ through daily instruction in God’s Word and the integration of biblical principles into every academic, artistic, athletic, service, and social endeavor. - Manage all aspects of the middle school, including academic programs, staff management, and student affairs.
- Evaluate and plan curriculum, ensuring it meets educational standards and addresses the needs of all students.
- Supervise and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff, providing professional development opportunities and conducting performance evaluations.
- Oversee student discipline, attendance, and extracurricular activities, ensuring a supportive environment for all students.
- Collaborate with parents, community members, and district administrators to foster strong relationships and support student success.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote educational excellence and a safe learning environment.
- Be a Christian role model and actively support the school's statement of faith, fostering a positive school culture.
- Education:
A master’s degree in educational leadership, administration, or a related field is highly preferred. A bachelor’s degree is required. - Experience:
At least five years of experience in a leadership role, preferably at the middle school level or in JK-12 education.
