Job Summary

Bongards' Creameries is seeking a Sanitation Team Lead based out of our Humboldt facility. The Sanitation Team Lead is responsible for working with personnel responsible for the sanitation of various types of equipment throughout the facility. The Team Lead will focus on getting production lines clean, sanitized and ready for start-up as well as address any GMP compliance issues that may arise.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Follow Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures and other SOP's
  • Assemble/Disassemble equipment, clean and sanitize work areas
  • Set up equipment for inspection and start up
  • Safe operation of chemicals and high-pressure hoses
  • Ongoing Chemical training (Silliker Labs, R-Tech, Ecolab, MVTL)
  • Learn CIP/COP sanitation systems
  • Become trained and knowledgeable on all GMP and HACCP guidelines
  • Become trained and certified on Powered Industrial Trucks
  • Learn ROSS systems
  • Manage multiple sanitation assignments with ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Train, Coach and Mentor members of the sanitation crew
  • Work in a safe and proficient manner
  • Availability at non-regular shift times due to urgent sanitation need
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous Food Production Sanitation and/or Lead experience is a plus
  • Previous experience with Safety, GMP, other Quality guidelines is a plus
  • Excellent Math and Reading skills
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic and HMI systems
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Must maintain highest quality standards for plant and equipment cleanliness
  • Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or designated replacement
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
Schedule
  • Night Shift 10:00pm to 6:00am Thursday - Monday, other days as needed
