Retail Assistant Store Manager

Pay
: $10.00 to $14.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $3.18 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store and promoting a positive/productive environment. This position partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction.

This role helps set a customer-centric tone for the store.

Together with the Store Manager, this position analyzes store financial statements to ensure financial goals are met. You will be involved in asset protection, business promotion, and acquiring new customers. All employees may work with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Final pay is determined by location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities of an Assistant Store Manager

This is a representative list of duties and is not all-inclusive; other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control and security procedures.
  • Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, and reporting.
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through goal setting and communication.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
  • Complete assigned tasks and self-development training.
  • Communicate store mission and profit objectives clearly to employees.
  • Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

  • Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
  • May be asked to assist customers exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
