Job Description & How to Apply Below
Our ACE Controls location in Humble Texas is hiring!
We pride ourselves on our welcoming, team‑first atmosphere. Based in Humble (just outside Houston), we’re a close‑knit automation and controls group that provides custom industrial control panels for clients in the water/wastewater, oil and gas, food and beverage and life science industries.
We’re looking for a driven individual who performs well in a fast‑paced production setting and is committed to quality and efficiency. This role is ideal for someone looking to launch a career in controls and automation — someone who is curious, hands‑on, and excited to learn, contribute, and build a long‑term future with our team.
Role OverviewAs a Control Panel Assembler you will:
- Assemble electrical control panels using blueprints, schematics, and bills of materials.
- Install components such as relays, breakers, terminal blocks, power supplies, and any necessary PLCs or panel hardware.
- Take control panels through final inspection and package them for shipping—applying labels, securing internal components, palletizing, and coordinating with logistics once they’re ready to go.
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks: inspect incoming materials, unpack, inspect, store inventory, prepare outgoing shipments, wrap units, palletize, label, and coordinate logistics.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow safety protocols (including 5S/Lean standards).
- Interpret electrical layouts, prints, BOMs, and work instructions.
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Meet production schedules by organizing workflow and maintaining inventory at the bench.
- Coordinate packaging and shipping; track and document shipments and receipts.
- Practice clean‑work habits in accordance with 5S/safety protocols.
- High school diploma or GED.
- No experience required—just a willingness to learn and grow in automation and controls.
- Comfortable using hand tools (wire strippers, crimpers, torque drivers, etc.).
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and be active on your feet throughout the day.
- Bonus if you have familiarity with schematics, forklift training, or electrical coursework.
