Primary Purpose
Provide in-house legal services to the Superintendent, designated staff, and Board of Trustees on school district matters in order to promote and protect the interests of the school district, including representation and research. Assist the Superintendent and Board in legal performance of their duties. Coordinate all legal services required by the District.
Experience- Five years experience in school law preferred dealing with legal issues of local, state, federal government.
- Experience in managing/overseeing a legal office preferred.
Education/Certification:
- Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the US Department of Education
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas
- Member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
Up to $198,306 commensurate with experience
