Job Overview
Serves as lead for the recruitment process for SCDOT Headquarters (HQ) using Neo Gov system. Prepares advertisements and enters appropriate information into Neo Gov to fill positions and close requisitions. Interprets qualifications and refers applicants to appropriate managers in Headquarters. Ensures that any under utilization provided by the Agency’s Affiantive Action Officer is provided to HQ managers with the referral of the applications.
ResponsibilitiesDevelops relationships with internal and external customers. Collaborates with hiring managers to understand job requirements and recruitment needs. Responds to candidate and employee inquiries and troubleshoots issues. Consults with HQ Managers, HQ Liaisons, District staff, and employees in regard to recruitment, the employee referral program and recognition program.
Generates recruiting reports from Neo Gov for analysis of the Agency’s statewide recruitment process, recruiting efforts and hiring progress, and makes recommendations based on trends. Monitors requisition reports for accurate tracking and assignments across the state.
Assists with the development and implementation of statewide recruitment strategies. Participates in job fairs and hiring events to recruit talent throughout the state.
Leads the HQ onboarding process and coordinates scheduling of new hires with managers.
Participates in special projects and initiatives within Talent Acquisition including employee referral program and bonus recognition program. Performs other related duties as required.
QualificationsA bachelor's degree and two and one-half (2.5) years of relevant human resources experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands for the essential functions includes sitting or standing at a desk for an extended periods and working on a computer. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. May be required to work outside normal work schedule. Some travel is required.
