Location:
Atascocita - 2310 1/2 Atascocita Rd., Humble, TX 77396. Gateway's Atascocita location is a residential correctional center focused on substance use treatment for court-ordered clients. The site houses approximately 170 staff and is undergoing renovations to advance treatment capabilities.
- Completes comprehensive assessments and treatment planning and provides counseling services to clients.
- Develops and implements complex treatment and discharge plans for clients with dual diagnoses, social or mental health issues.
- Serves as a professional resource to others in resolving complex case problems and may provide clinical supervision as needed.
- Develops and may facilitate trainings for treatment staff.
- Assumes responsibility for overseeing counselors in the absence of the supervisor.
- Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or a related field required.
- Current professional license in the state of Texas required as a LCSW, LPC, LPCA, or LMSW.
- At least 4 years clinical experience desired, with concurrent experience in the treatment of substance abuse and dual-diagnoses highly preferred.
- Previous work experience in a corrections environment a plus.
- Must be able to obtain security clearance as required by Harris County.
- Ability to walk and move about the facilities for up to two hours at a time, to monitor and interact with clients.
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects.
- Ability to record, proofread and check documents and files for accuracy, and to prepare and analyze data and figures.
- Ability to use a keyboard and video display terminal to receive, retrieve, and/or audit information and data.
- Ability to respond to telephones, hear and detect alarms and unusual noises.
Compensation (based on experience and credentials):
The range is between $60,000-$65,000. Gateway Foundation conducts annual reviews including merit increases.
