HGV Mechanic

HGV Trailer Fitters / Mechanics Due to continued growth, Freeburn Transport Ltd / 24:7 Trailer Services are currently recruiting for 4 experienced HGV Trailer Fitters / Mechanics to join our busy maintenance team on a full time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established transport and trailer services company operating a large fleet of trucks and trailers across the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities Carry out PMI inspections on trailers. Diagnose and repair mechanical, brake, ABS/EBS and electrical faults. Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance. Complete defect repairs reported by drivers. Ensure all work is completed to DVSA / roadworthiness standards. Maintain accurate maintenance records and job sheets. Assist with breakdowns and urgent repairs when required. Requirements Experience working on HGV trailers or heavy vehicles.

Knowledge of brake systems, ABS/EBS systems and trailer electrics. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Welding or fabrication experience is desirable but not essential.
