Overview
Are you looking to work in a busy and developing environment within theatres Castle Hill Hospital? We are looking to recruit staff within the Orthopaedic & Neurosurgery theatres, who can demonstrate a dynamic approach to their work and who have commitment, drive and enthusiasm to help in the development of our services.
You will need to be prepared to work within a busy environment and be forward thinking and passionate about delivering a high standard of care.
Previous care experience is desirable but not essential. You must have a clear idea regarding your career development and be a team player with a flexible attitude to meet the service needs.
Currently the post covers Monday-Friday with the addition of on call allocations for evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
The post holder is responsible for supporting the registered peri-operative practitioner in the delivery of direct patient care procedures and transfer, based within Orthopaedic & Neurosurgery Theatres.
The post holder will work flexibly alongside team members to meet the needs of the service.

Person SpecificationApplication Completion - Essential

Education/Qualifications - Desirable
- Care Certificate, NVQ level 2 in care or equivalent.
- Previous working experience in a hospital setting
- Basic Maths and English GCSE level or equivalent.
Knowledge, Training & Experience - Essential
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to demonstrate good written skills.
Desirable
- Experience of using IT based systems and maintaining patient records.
- Demonstrate awareness of current issues in healthcare
Communication and Interpersonal Skills - Essential
- Ability to prioritise and organise own workload.
- Can demonstrate they can contribute towards a positive learning environment with a willingness to undertake further training as necessary.
