Staff Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered staff nurse to join the Maxillofacial Outpatient Service. The post will involve supporting a multidisciplinary team to care for patients with conditions such as head and neck cancers, facial trauma and reconstructive needs. Key responsibilities will include assisting in specialised clinics, including minor oral surgery, daily trauma clinics (based across site), pre assessment and nurse led dressings clinics.

The applicant must be motivated and enthusiastic.

Main duties of the job

Under the guidance, supervision and direction, the post holder is responsible for ensuring the effective management of the OMFS patients in the Outpatients department, Westwood Suite at Castle Hill Hospital and SDEC at Hull Royal Infirmary.

You will be responsible for patient flow and the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care ensuring that nursing standards are maintained and measured.

The post holder will provide highly visible, accessible and authoritative presence in their area. They will be available to patients, their families and staff to advise and support to address in the first instance any problems or concerns.
