Dream Medical are currently working alongside a walk-in centre in Hull looking for locum GP's on an ad-hoc and long-term basis. This excellent role allows an extreme degree of flexibility as well as a consistent stream of work at competitive rates.

The healthcare teams based in Hull Walk-in Centre deliver holistic healthcare for patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems using advanced nursing skills. We provide services to meet the needs of patients who attend the WIC and aim to make a difference to people's lives in their community.

You will work alongside a small team of fellow dedicated and highly skilled healthcare professionals. We support each other in any way we can by holding regular meetings/development sessions/social events.

The busy walk-in centre is open 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm (including bank holidays) and means we can offer a variety of working patterns to fit in with your life. It also means that not only can you make a difference to the community and those in most need, but that working patterns are fixed.

We support a wide variety of patients, meaning no two days will ever be the same. With an on-site service manager, we will leave you to do what you do best, which is caring for our patients and ensuring you fully utilise your advanced clinical skills.

The role will also involve:

• Supervising nursing staff in matters relating to the treatment of patients
• Encouraging and supporting the GP provision of the services to promote the medical and clinical services delivery as contracted in a timely manner
• Encouraging the health and well-being of all medical and clinical staff within the practice and promoting efficient working methods
• Undertaking a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone (or other) consultations and queries, home visits, checking and signing repeat prescriptions
• Making professional, autonomous decisions
• Assessing the healthcare needs of our patients and screening for disease risk factors and early signs of illness while developing treatment and associated care plans
• Referring patients to other care providers as required
• Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes
• Championing the practice clinical governance programme and working with the Service Senior Management Team on clinical governance and service issues
