Responsibilities- Conduct visible patrols at stations
- Provide victim care
- Manage security threats
- Investigate minor crimes
- Build community relationships
- Support Police Constables (PCs)
- Enforce BTP Byelaws within the railway environment
- Work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
We are looking for PCSOs within our C Division:
Hull.
- Competitive salary: £28,486.92 rising to £31,895.68 and up to 20% shift allowance.
- Minimum 15% shift allowance upon completion of 8 weeks training, increasing year on year until the top level is reached.

You must have a permanent right to live and work in the UK, not have resided consistently in the UK for the past 3 years, and have no disqualifying criminal record.
Ineligibility Criteria- Unsuccessful in the last 6 months for the role of PCSO with BTP.
- Unsuccessful following online aptitude testing for Police Officer, Special Constable or PCSO – must await 6 months before reapplying.
- Unsuccessful following BTP vetting checks within the last 12 months.
- Custodial sentence (including suspended sentences); other cautions, convictions and involvement with the police must be declared but are not necessarily a bar.
- Previously dismissed from another force or currently under live investigation.
- Declared bankrupt, have a CCJ or an un‑managed IVA.
- Tattoos deemed offensive; facial and neck tattoos considered case‑by‑case.
- No permanent right to live and work in the UK.
- Not lived consistently in the UK for the past 3 years.

Existing members of Police Staff in the Royal Protective Services (RPS) are not affected.
