Interim Head of Finance

We are supporting a fast-paced, private equity-backed business based in Hull in the search for an Interim Head of Finance. This is a key leadership role within the finance function, ideally suited to a technically strong, chartered accountant who is immediately available and able to add value from day one.

The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team to strengthen financial reporting, controls and governance across the business during a period of growth and transformation.

• Full ownership of financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting
• Leading the statutory accounts process and managing the year-end audit
• Strengthening financial controls, governance and compliance frameworks across the organisation
• Oversight of the balance sheet, reconciliations and reporting integrity
• Supporting improvements to financial processes, reporting quality and internal controls
• Acting as a key partner to the senior leadership team and private equity stakeholders
• Providing leadership and direction to the finance team while maintaining high standards of delivery

• Fully qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA (ideally chartered)
• Proven experience operating at Head of Finance or Financial Controller level
• Strong technical accounting background with statutory reporting and audit experience
• Track record of strengthening financial controls, governance and compliance
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, PE-backed or high-growth environments
• Available immediately or at short notice and able to deliver impact quickly
