Salary: £26 – £33 per hour

GSL Education is looking for qualified Teachers, both Primary and Secondary, to deliver 1:1 tuition to students unable to access mainstream education. GSL Education has been supporting schools and local authorities to provide education to students who cannot access school, for over 5 years within the East Riding of Yorkshire and Hull.

• Deliver personalised 1:1 lessons tailored to each student’s individual needs and ability.
• Plan and adapt engaging sessions in line with the national curriculum.
• Support students with additional needs, including SEMH, SEND, or those out of school for medical reasons.
• Build positive, trusting relationships to re‑engage students with learning.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to parents, schools and local authorities.
• Complete session reports and maintain accurate records of attendance and attainment.
• Promote safeguarding and wellbeing at all times.

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Have experience supporting students with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
• Be adaptable, patient and confident working independently.
• Have strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
