Key Responsibilities- Perform in-process, final, and first article inspections of manufactured products to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Conduct various quality tests using precision measuring instruments and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM.
- Document inspection results, test data, and non-conformances accurately in quality management systems.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate containment and disposition procedures.
- Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain, verify, and calibrate inspection and test equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
- Collaborate with production personnel to address quality concerns and provide guidance on quality standards.
- High school diploma or GED;
Associate's degree in a technical field preferred. - 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or inspection role.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and interpreting technical drawings.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and basic statistical process control (SPC).
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy, including experience with MS Office Suite for data entry and reporting.
- Proficiency with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
- Experience with CMM programming and operation.
- ASQ certification (e.g., CQT, CQI).
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
