• Source and evaluate new suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to achieve cost savings.
• Issue purchase orders and manage their lifecycle to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production to optimize stock and prevent shortages.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives within the supply chain.
• Resolve supplier performance issues related to quality, delivery, or invoicing discrepancies.
• Analyze market trends, material availability, and lead times to inform purchasing strategies.

• Proven experience (3-5 years) in direct purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for purchasing, inventory, and order management.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Solid understanding of supply chain principles, inventory control, and logistics.

• Experience with specific ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).
• Proven track record in cost reduction initiatives and value engineering.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
