Job Overview

We are more than just a Parts Store and seek talented individuals to join our NAPA family! As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you will be the "face of the retail store," assisting customers with their automotive needs. No need to be a mechanic, but a background in automotive parts is beneficial. This role is ideal whether you're considering a career path in automotive retail, seeking full/part-time work, or exploring other opportunities within our company.

Responsibilities
  • Assist retail and wholesale customers with auto parts questions in person and over the phone.
  • Utilize your parts knowledge to support team members and customers.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
  • Engage customers with energy and focus in a fast-paced environment.
  • Operate technology systems including computers, cash registers, and catalogs.
Ideal Candidate
  • Enjoy helping customers with auto parts and services.
  • Have experience in automotive or have repaired/tinkered with vehicles.
  • Willing to learn automotive parts if new to the industry.
  • Aim to grow and develop within the company.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn.
  • High School Diploma or GED; technical/trade courses are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting.
  • Strong listening skills and empathy for customers.
Preferred Skills
  • Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, marine, or dealership industries.
  • Experience with inventory management or catalog systems.
  • Customer-centric attitude.
  • ASE Certifications are a plus but not required.
