A team of consultants who meet guests where they are and deliver for them through strong operations, guest experience and visual merchandising presentations that inspire guests and build the basket. A Style Consultant is passionate about operations and providing an incredible guest experience, bringing the energy of style to life with in-store presentations that enable quick self-discovery. Style Consultants are welcoming and helpful in meeting guests needs on the sales floor and in the fitting room, ensuring the floor is set with the right product, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor with the right sizes, styles, and colors.

• Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store
• Retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies, and basic visual merchandising
• Industry trends including style, seasonality, and brand differentiation
• Set, fill, and price the floor according to what is most important to the guest

As a Style Consultant, a typical day will include the following responsibilities:

• Drive sales and maintain a guest-ready floor by executing visual standards, signage, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings to assist guests as needed.
• Use store tools to understand sales, inventory ownership, and to support guest needs.
• Sort freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs.
• Set visual presentations and merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floor by executing prioritization and merchandising to capacity.
• Execute and maintain backroom organization to support replenishment and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as items sell through to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price change processes with signing and merchandising best practices.
• Maintain and use fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and help guests.
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by returning merchandise from fitting rooms and guest service to the sales floor.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work safely and report hazards; comply with safety policies and training.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup, and drive-up while complying with applicable laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with their needs.
• Thank guests and show appreciation for their shopping experience.
• All other duties as needed based on business needs.

Skills and abilities

• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories
• Welcoming attitude toward guests and team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology
• Effective communication and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to resolve guest questions quickly and stay focused in a fast-paced environment

Basic expectations

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
• Ability to climb ladders and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally
• Flexible work schedule, reliable attendance
• Be comfortable working in varying temperatures and conditions for certain duties
• Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
