The Landscape Fertilization Technician is responsible for fertilizer and pesticide applications to lawns, trees, and shrubs while ensuring full compliance with Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) standards. This is a field-based role focused on quality service, customer education, safety, and efficiency. During winter months, this position also supports snow removal operations, offering year-round employment opportunities.

All employees are expected to carry out Dohner's mission, vision, and values while representing the company professionally in the field.

• Apply fertilizers and pesticides to lawns, trees, and shrubs according to scheduled programs
• Perform weed control, shrub care, and lawn aeration services
• Follow proper application techniques and comply with all ODA rules and regulations
• Conduct lawn inspections and perform service calls as needed
• Assist Client Care Specialists and Account Managers with estimates and evaluations
• Educate customers on proper lawn and landscape care practices
• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing concerns professionally and promptly
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and routine maintenance of vehicles and equipment
• Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and protocols
• Support snow removal operations during winter months
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a lawn application or fertilization technician
• Valid, up-to-date Applicator's License
• Ability to operate lawn care equipment safely and effectively
• Valid Ohio driver's license and insurable driving record
• Ability to drive and back up a truck and trailer
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive outdoor work
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Professional communication skills and customer-focused mindset

• W-2 Employment
• Pay range: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience
• Overtime paid at time and a half for hours worked over 40 per week
