About

The shipping and receiving warehouse assistant verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities
  • Operates lift trucks to move or hoist materials to proper areas.
  • Loads trucks with lift trucks.
  • Operates PB crimp tools, including diagnosis, repair and processing.
  • Operates the stretch wrap banders.
  • Records shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Weighs product for appropriate shipping costs.
  • Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of product.
  • Double checks shipping instructions on purchase order prior to placing product on truck.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager.
  • Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows safety regulations.
  • Required to use company vehicles.

Requirements

Essential Job Knowledge:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2‑4 years shipping/receiving and warehouse experience
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn and become certified to operate a tow motor
