Assistant Asphalt Paving Superintendent

A. Colarusso & Son, Inc., a well-established heavy/highway construction company serving the Hudson
Valley, is seeking an Assistant Asphalt Paving Superintendent to join our experienced team.

Position Overview
The Assistant Asphalt Paving Superintendent will work closely with the Paving Superintendent to manage
and coordinate asphalt paving operations while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and
within budget.
Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Paving Superintendent to effectively manage projects

• Participate in job costing and budgeting

• Assist paving foremen in meeting job expectations with a clear understanding of how the project
was bid

• Perform jobsite layout prior to crew arrival

• Meet with customers to review and coordinate upcoming work

• Assist with job scheduling and workforce planning

• Develop and implement quality control systems
Qualifications

• Strong understanding of asphalt paving operations

• Knowledge of job costing and budgeting processes

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Ability to work overtime as required

• Willingness to obtain CDL Class A (preferred)
Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $65,000 – $85,000, commensurate with experience

• Paid vacation and sick time

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening, background
