Maintenance Custodian Associate

Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $23.00/hr

Position Summary:

Are you ready to help shape a member’s entire shopping experience by giving them a positive first and last impression? We are looking for people who take pride in their work to join our team. As a Maintenance Associate at Sam’s Club, you are responsible for ensuring members see a well-kept parking lot, clean restrooms, and clean floors. This means you are constantly on your feet and on the go.

Essential responsibilities and daily tasks include maintaining a safe and clean environment for members and associates by performing maintenance as necessary, ensuring customers have a great first and last impression, and managing cleaning duties in alignment with company procedures.

• Maintain safety of the facility by following safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including safety sweeps, forklift spotting procedures, hazardous material handling and disposal, and reporting unsafe situations to management.
• Clean all areas of the facility (floors, windows, restrooms, trash receptacles) following company procedures and using approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for Members and Associates by performing maintenance as needed, responding to spills, operating floor scrubbers, and disposing of cardboard, plastic, and trash per the Environmental Sustainability Program.
• Maintain appropriate levels of Company-approved chemicals and supplies, rotate chemicals, properly store them, and place orders to replenish supplies when low.
