Our defense client is seeking a Technical Marketing Specialist to support its Advanced Integrated Solutions vertical. This individual will partner closely with Product Management and Business Development to develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives that drive growth across highly technical, mission-critical systems.
This role requires a unique blend of technical aptitude and marketing execution. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in complex, engineering-driven environments and can quickly absorb emerging technologies while translating them into clear, compelling messaging for specialized defense and government audiences.
Role OverviewThe Technical Marketing Specialist will:
- Execute integrated global marketing strategies aligned with vertical business objectives
- Develop product positioning, messaging, and value propositions for complex technical systems
- Lead go-to-market initiatives, including product launches, campaign development, and content strategy
- Serve as the central liaison between Product Management, Business Development, Creative, PR, and Sales teams
- Support trade show planning, customer engagement initiatives, and targeted defense-sector outreach
Success in this role requires the ability to explain sophisticated technologies—such as R&D systems, intelligent transportation platforms, automation solutions, and optical gas imaging—in a clear, engaging, and customer-centric manner.
Our client’s customers operate in mission-critical environments. Understanding market drivers, regulatory landscapes, and operational requirements within the defense and government sectors is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Execute global marketing strategies for the Advanced Integrated Solutions vertical
- Lead disciplined, gated product launch processes and campaign execution
- Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, product, BD/sales, and communications teams
- Develop high-quality marketing collateral including brochures, technical datasheets, video scripts, and digital advertising content
- Direct content generation efforts to support customer acquisition and retention strategies
- Oversee trade show planning and field marketing initiatives
- Ensure adherence to corporate brand standards and messaging frameworks
- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives with strong prioritization and project ownership
- 5+ years of experience in technical or product marketing, preferably within defense, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or related industries
- Demonstrated ability to market complex technical systems to specialized audiences
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentation experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple projects in fast-paced environments
- Passion for science, engineering, automation, intelligent transportation systems, or optical sensing technologies preferred
