SUMMARY:
Hudson Public Schools is seeking a long term sub forr an Elementary ESL Teacher at Forest Ave Elementary School effective immediately through the remainder of the school year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assess student progress towards learning objectives.
- Differentiate classroom work to address individual learning needsand provide feedback to students and families.
- Provide a safe and welcoming learning environment.
- Supervises students in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned working day
- Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students.
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
- Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct, and for the classroom, develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner
- Maintain confidentiality regarding personal and work/school related information for all students and staff of the district.
- Other duties as specified by the Principal or Curriculum Director.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Massachusetts DESE license preferred
- Successful completion of Criminal Records Check (CORI), and fingerprints
Terms of Employment:
6.5 hours/day
temporary employment
Eligible for Benefits & Insurance after 90 days.
Pay Scale:
Unlicesended Long Term Subs = $23.85/hour
Licensed Long Term Subs = $ 46.08/hour - $61.94/hour.
Licensed Long Term Subs will be placed accordingly within this range dependent upon years of experience and degrees.

While performing duties of this job, the employee may often remain in a stationary position for considerable periods of time. The employee will have also have ample periods of standing and may be required to traverse throughout the building. The employee must frequently use hands and frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e., calculator, copy machine, and computer printer).
