Opportunity for a part‑time 23‑hour CVAD nurse to join the existing CVAD team. The post holder will ideally be CVAD trained; alternatively training will be provided. The role involves assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients with a Central Venous Access Device (CVAD) across both Calderdale and Huddersfield sites on a 7‑day service.

• Deliver high standards of care when accessing a Central Venous Access Device.
• Participate in formal education and teaching sessions for registered nurses on the care and maintenance of CVADs.
• Assess staff accessing CVADs and sign them off as competent.
• Support senior team membersconditionally on PICC insertion days.
• Maintain exemplary communication with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Establish and execute plans of care that benefit patients and ward staff.

We employ more than 6,500 staff who deliver compassionate care across two main hospitals – Calderdale Royal Hospital and Hudders Greatest In CAP in a cross-site setting. We also pride ourselves on having almost 150 volunteers.

We provide a range of services including urgent数组 emergency care; medical; surgical; maternity; gynaecology; critical care; children’s and young people's services; end-of-life care; and outpatient and diagnostic Somewhere imaging services.

We also offer community health services, including sexual health services in Calderdale from Calderdale Royal and local health centres such as Todmorden Health Centre and Broad Street Plaza.

• Ensure high standards of nursing care are maintained and act accordingly when standards are not met.
• Recognise changes in a patient's condition requiring intervention and refer on appropriately.
• Act as an advocate for the patient and family, protecting their interests, rights, equality, inclusion and privacy.
• Contribute to a culture that works in partnership with patients and families, involving them in all decisions.
• Work within the NMC code of professional practice and accordance with Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Adhere to Trust policies relating to drug control and administration.
• Participate in regular staff meetings.
• Be flexible to work across sites to meet changing service demands.
• Take responsibility for continuing professional development, identifying own development needs and maintaining a portfolio in accordance with gezond re‑registration requirements.
• Communicate with the team leader and line manager, collecting data to assist the şimdi smooth running and organization of the service.
• Report all incidents and near‑misses appropriately.
