A great opportunity has arisen for an experience tool setter to join a global leader who supply to some of the biggest markets including food and pharmaceutical.

Position Overview:

To ensure that all tool / production line changeovers are completed successfully and efficiently in line with all appropriate safety and quality standards. To adjust the manufacturing equipment to maintain the correct manufacturing parameters, aligned with product specifications. To participate in improvement activities to support business growth.

Job Description:

Change production lines in an efficient and safe way.
Set the parameters of the equipment to achieve the correct quality standards.
Adjust presses, rolling machines, slitters, and transport mechanisms when deviations occur in the process.
Correctly identify tooling issues and to collaborate with other team members to resolve developing issues.
Support and advise the production Supervisor in planning changeover activities to support the production plan.
Behave in a manner that is safe and that promotes good manufacturing practice.
Assist in training Senior Operators to make basic adjustments to equipment.
Collaborate with team members to improve the effectiveness of the changeover processes.
Take part in the Health and Safety Committee or other representation roles.

Beneficial Skills /

Qualifications:

Working experience of machine tool setting
A comprehensive understanding of Safety Regulations within a manufacturing environment.
A desire to work to high quality standards.
The ability to change tools and set / adjust / balance complete production lines.
An understanding of process efficiency and the continuous improvement process.
To work shifts or flexible working patterns when required.
Engineering qualification.
Knowledge of Food Safety Regulations.

Additional details:

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday 06.00 - 14.00 and 14.00 - 22.00 (2 shift system).
Salary: £34,000. Increasing by 5.1% in April (£35.79k)
Weekend Overtime available
