Position: Community Occupational Therapist - Band 5 to 6 Development role

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for any OTs looking for a Band 5/6 developmental post in the community and looking for 30 hours a week (4 days). The progression from a Band 5 to a Band 6 will be completed in line with the appraisal process. We would also encourage applicants who are already practising at Band 6. The South Kirklees Enhanced Pathway team is a community mental health team operating in Huddersfield, and as an Occupational Therapist you will be crucial to the MDT way of working and pivotal in delivering high quality care.

We have adopted the Flexible Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) model of care for service users who are presenting with increased risk and require a more intensive level of support, which allows care coordinators to involve the wider MDT in assessing and formulating daily risk management plans.

As the team s OT you will be responsible for conducting OT assessments and interventions with our community service users and working within the OT network that is well established across the Enhanced Pathway. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated qualified OT practitioner who can work in a flexible, innovative and creative way. The role will primarily be based in Folly Hall Mills and we operate Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, with flexible working available to support a good work and home life balance.

Due to the large geographical area that we cover, being a car driver is essential and mileage is available to claim via e-Expenses.
