Main duties of the jobWe are now looking for an experienced GP Receptionist to be able to assist with and be responsible for a wide range of administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the clinical team. Previous experience within a GP Practice would be an advantage.

Services include routine and urgent appointments, chronic disease management, health promotion and screening, minor illness care, and access to a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Fieldhead Surgery focuses on compassionate, accessible, and effective care, while continually improving services and working collaboratively with local health partners to meet the needs of its patients.
Job responsibilities- Maintain and monitor the practice appointment system
- Process personal, telephone, and e-requests for appointments
- Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls, or dealing with the callers requests appropriately
- Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members, and external agencies
- Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
- Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner
- Monitor and maintain the reception area and notice boards
- Provide general administrative support such as scanning, copying, supporting clinical team, etc
- Excellent customer service skills with a courteous and friendly demeanour
- 1 years' Experience using System one.
- Excellent IT skills and solid knowledge Microsoft Outlook experience (Excel, Word, Outlook emails, etc.).
- Managing challenging behaviour in a professional manner.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and well as proficient written and spoken English
