Construction Site Supervisor CEA

Construction Site Supervisor needed in Huddersfield.

The rate is £60ph.

This is a temporary role.

The reference number is 000A CEA2 / 1.

• Site:
  Huddersfield – Civil engineering works installing cycle lanes, widening footpaths, installing islands.
• Hours:
  
  7 pm – 6 am, 5 nights a week (Monday–Friday).
• Sites:
  Two schemes on the ring road, ~300 m apart, with one site for the next junction.
• Duration: 40 weeks (starting 23 Feb, finish end‑September) with an initial 3 week behind‑schedule period.

• Supervise night work, ensuring site safety and traffic re‑opening for the morning.
• Manage work on site and coordinate with contractors.
• Monitor progress, verify adherence to NEC4 contract requirements and CDM regulations, and confirm PPE usage.
• Provide daily hand‑over reports to the lead designer and communicate with design team.
• Check that any critical tasks are completed, handle site observations and take notes.
• Assist with finishing work with the contractor after the scheme completion.

• Good background in civil engineering (experience or qualification).
• Strong understanding of NEC4 and ability to apply it.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently during night shifts.
