Construction Site Supervisor

Full‑time 40 hours per week (Monday‑Friday, 7:00 pm – 6:00 am)
Until end of September 2026

We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Supervisor to manage night‑time civil engineering works across two live highway schemes on Huddersfield ring road.

This is a full‑time night shift role where you will be solely responsible for supervising works on site, ensuring activities are delivered safely, in line with NEC4 contract requirements, and that the highway is fully reopened to traffic each morning.

• Supervising civil engineering works including cycle lanes, footpath widening and traffic islands
• Managing and liaising with contractors on site
• Monitoring progress and ensuring adherence to programme and contract requirements (NEC4)
• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and CDM regulations
• Overseeing two nearby schemes (within walking distance of each other)
• Completing shift reports and providing detailed handovers to the Lead Designer
• Making independent decisions during night operations

You will be working alone at night, so confidence, initiative and strong site management experience are essential. The role requires someone who has delivered similar schemes previously and can operate effectively within tight time frames.

• Strong background in Civil Engineering (degree level qualification)
• Previous experience supervising highway or civil engineering works
• Good working knowledge of NEC4 contracts
• Understanding of CDM Regulations
• Strong Health & Safety knowledge
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple contractors
• CSCS Card
