The City of Huber Heights is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time/hourly Code Enforcement Officer I. Responsibilities include inspecting and investigating complaints for violations of zoning, land use and property maintenance ordinances and regulations; verify compliance with the codes and ordinances of the City; issue written violation notices and conduct follow-up inspections to ensure compliance.
The selection process will begin with the screening of applicants. Those considered to continue in the process will be contacted for an oral interview(s). Successful candidate will submit to an extensive background investigation.
This position requires High School Diploma or equivalent and two years’ work experience in code enforcement or related land use experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The hourly wage rate is $19.21 to $29.53 DOQ. This position receives wages only, not other benefits and works up to 29 hours per week.
