About the Role

Holland Roofing is hiring Roofer Helpers to support our Commercial Roofing Service (RMM) Division. This role supports a 24/7 service operation, responding to scheduled maintenance, inspections, and emergency service calls, including after-hours and weekends.

Roofer Helpers work directly with a Service Foreman on commercial flat roofs, assisting with roof inspections, leak detection, maintenance, and repair work. This position involves frequent driving between service calls and hands-on outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Comprehensive training is provided, including OSHA safety requirements, leak investigation techniques, repair methods, flashing, reroofing basics, quality standards, and inspection procedures.

Work Location & Schedule Expectations

* This role does not report to a fixed location.

* Employees report directly to their Foreman to travel to customer job sites, which may change multiple times per day.

* Frequent local driving between service calls is required.

* After-hours, weekend, and emergency service work is required as part of a rotating schedule.

* Out-of-town or overnight travel may be required on occasion.

If you are seeking a standard weekday-only schedule or minimal travel, this role may not be the right fit.

Physical & Work Requirements (Read Carefully)

This is a physically demanding, outdoor service position. Candidates must be able to:

* Lift and carry 30-50 lbs regularly

* Perform continuous bending, kneeling, standing, and occasional crawling

* Climb ladders and safely access rooftops

* Work comfortably at heights on commercial flat roofs

* Work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, wind, and other weather conditions

* Follow all safety procedures and job specifications

Job Responsibilities

* Assist the Service Foreman with roof inspections, leak detection, and repairs

* Carry tools, materials, and equipment from the truck to the roof

* Set up and remove ladders at job sites

* Perform roofing tasks as directed, following job specifications and safety guidelines

* Maintain a clean and safe job site

* Clean grounds and work areas as needed

* Travel between multiple service calls during the workday

* Represent the company professionally at customer locations

Qualifications

* Roofing, commercial roofing, construction, or general labor experience preferred

* Valid driver's license required

* Must be at least 21 years old (insurance requirement)

* Reliable transportation to report to work daily

* Ability to pass a drug test

* Authorized to work in the U.S.

* Comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding outdoor conditions
