Role SummaryThe Sales Associate role is an integral part of the store’s overall success and efficiency, focusing on our brand commitment when servicing customers and driving results. Responsible for upholding Coach’s Service and Selling Models, creating a positive first impression, building ongoing customer relationships through a personalized experience, and leaving a positive, lasting impression.
Responsibilities- Sales Floor: Understands objectives and makes decisions aligned with company priorities. Take ownership of results, monitor personal and store metrics, and develop personal sales and clienteling strategies with management.
- Create short- and long-term strategies to achieve personal metrics and performance goals.
- Own personal survey results and create improvement plans.
- Represent Coach as a brand ambassador and demonstrate Selling and Service expectations at all times.
- Understand local market changes and support local sales strategies and tactics.
- Drive business through sales strategies, clienteling, sourcing new customers, and maintaining ongoing relationships.
- Present oneself in line with Coach’s Guide to Style to create positive customer impressions.
- Build credibility as a fashion advisor with knowledge of fashion trends and competition; provide in-depth product knowledge (features, benefits, offerings, value).
- Communicate current pricing and promotions clearly; discuss product features and leverage cross-selling opportunities.
- Cross-sell and add-on related products based on customer needs.
- Tailor approach to customers’ needs by reading cues and addressing unique shopping needs.
- Handle multiple customers, follow up to influence/close sales, and adapt selling techniques to support store financial results.
- Build lasting relationships and utilize tools to support clienteling efforts.
- Foster a team-selling environment and a culture of collaboration with internal and external customers.
- Remain solution-oriented, adaptable to changing business needs, and maintain a calm, professional demeanor.
- Operations: Complete daily tasks without compromising service or Coach standards; maintain store areas and visual merchandising per Coach standards; adhere to POS, Operations, and Asset Protection policies; replenish inventory on the sales floor as needed.
- Support store inventory processes, process shipments, stock shelves, and maintain organization in stockrooms and on the sales floor.
- Assist with cash-wrap as needed to process purchases, returns, and exchanges; efficiently handle customer transactions.
- Prepare the store by organizing functional areas, performing routine cleaning, and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
