The academic team at Cleary University seeks a dynamic, passionate, and student-centered Full-time Faculty member possessing a successful record of championing a strong, vibrant, and relevant student educational experience of exceptional quality and relevance to the current and future workforce.

Fulfilling Cleary University's Mission, the Full-time Faculty member works closely with key academic, student affairs, and operational leaders and personnel to support the success of Cleary University's student body. Full-time Faculty provide instructional and assessment responsibilities for their courses, support the development of new and revision to existing academic curriculum consistent with the Cleary University system of academic governance, and serve on committees and participate in various academic and University initiatives.

This position primarily works with Cleary's experienced professional student population. These students comprise professionals from public safety (including police, fire, and emergency medical services, and corrections), public service, military, and corporate backgrounds. Students pursue their undergraduate or graduate degrees while often balancing full-time employment and family responsibilities. Instruction for this group emphasizes practical application of course content, accelerated course formats, and flexibility in delivery.

Faculty prioritize real-world problem-solving and the integration of students' professional experiences into class discussions and projects.

Other key Cleary student groups include traditional campus-based students and student athletes taking courses across a variety of instructional modalities.

In particular, we are looking for a Full-time Faculty member who possesses relevant professional, teaching, and curriculum development experience to the Leadership and Management domains, with academic, teaching, and professional expertise in two or more of the following areas:
  • Leadership Theories and Applications
  • Organizational Behavior
  • Strategy
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking
  • Ethics
  • Change Management
This full-time position will be based at Cleary University's Howell, MI, campus or Detroit Education Center in Detroit, MI. Since this is not a remote position, candidates must be able to reasonably commute to one of Cleary's two locations. The position reports to the Dean of Graduate Studies and Adult Education Programs. The faculty rank will be at the Associate Professor level.

Review of applications will begin immediately and continue to be accepted until the position is filled.
