We are seeking a part-time dedicated, and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform comprehensive dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and efficient clinical environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Duties
  • Perform thorough dental prophylaxis, including scaling and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease.
  • Assess patient oral health by reviewing medical and dental histories, taking vital signs, and conducting oral examinations.
  • Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before finalizing records.
  • Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed using aseptic techniques.
  • Collaborate with dentists on patient assessment, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
  • Adhere to all dental terminology standards and maintain knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental procedures.
Requirements
  • Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
  • Proficiency with Dentrix preferred.
  • Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations concerning patient privacy and data security.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
  • Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental procedures is essential.
