We are seeking a part-time dedicated, and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform comprehensive dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and efficient clinical environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties- Perform thorough dental prophylaxis, including scaling and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease.
- Assess patient oral health by reviewing medical and dental histories, taking vital signs, and conducting oral examinations.
- Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays in accordance with safety protocols.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before finalizing records.
- Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed using aseptic techniques.
- Collaborate with dentists on patient assessment, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
- Adhere to all dental terminology standards and maintain knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental procedures.
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
- Proficiency with Dentrix preferred.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations concerning patient privacy and data security.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental procedures is essential.
